As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), Priscilla offers experience working with children (3+), teens, and adults. Priscilla has supported clients across the lifespan as they navigate life transitions, relationship problems, trauma, grief, and parenting concerns. Prior to joining Blank Slate Therapy, Priscilla began her career providing school-based therapy to elementary students. She continued her clinical work in the nonprofit setting specializing in domestic violence and sexual assault before transitioning to private practice.
Priscilla is passionate about working with children and adolescents. As a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), she is trained in Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT). This evidence based modality facilitates a safe, nonjudgmental environment where children can express themselves freely while developing skills such as improved emotional regulation, enhanced self-esteem and increased problem solving abilities. She utilizes other expressive therapies such as sandtray and art to engage the whole brain. Priscilla believes in partnering with caregivers during the therapeutic process to provide the ongoing support they need to facilitate lasting change within families.
In her work with adults, Priscilla prioritizes cultivating connection. She is dedicated to fostering an atmosphere of authenticity and acceptance, enabling individuals to engage fully in their healing journey and move toward their fullest potential.
Priscilla earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler. Priscilla has also pursued specialized training in the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Priscilla believes in providing an empathetic and supportive therapeutic process which honors each individual’s unique strengths. She welcomes the opportunity to help you or your family navigate even the most challenging situation.
