Crisis & Emergency Resources

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911.

Call 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency room if there is an immediate risk of harm to yourself or someone else, a serious injury, an overdose, or a medical emergency. When you call, you can ask for a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) officer — many North Texas departments have officers with mental health crisis training.

Call or text 988 — free, confidential, 24/7

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline connects you with a trained crisis counselor anywhere in the United States, any time of day. You do not have to be suicidal to call. It is the right number for suicidal thoughts, self-harm, a mental health or substance use crisis, or if you are simply overwhelmed and need someone to talk to — and for anyone worried about another person.

What Blank Slate Therapy can and cannot do

We are not a crisis service. Our offices keep regular business hours. Phone calls, voicemail, text messages, the client portal, and the contact form on this website are not monitored around the clock, and a message sent to us may not be seen until the next business day. Please do not use them to report an emergency.

If you are an existing client and you are in crisis, call 911 or 988 first. Then let your clinician know at the next opportunity so they can support you afterward — that follow-up matters, and we want to be part of it.

If you are looking for ongoing therapy rather than immediate help, we would be glad to hear from you. You can get in touch here or call our offices at (214) 618-0588 during business hours.
