Christine is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas, holding a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Southeast Missouri State University, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Sam Houston State University. She is a Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) trained Psychotherapist by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, and also a certified Cognitive Processing Therapist (CPT). Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is an evidence based therapy proven effective in reducing symptoms of Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). CPT can help individuals gain awareness regarding how unhelpful or “maladaptive” thoughts and emotions - subsequent to a traumatic experience - might be connected.
As a strengths based clinician who utilizes multiple modalities, Christine practices techniques that foster active and reflective listening, validation, and empowerment as well as reframing negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors. She is an expert at helping clients understand factors contributing to the unpleasant thoughts and feelings, and relationship dynamics that are barriers towards you being your best self.
Christine strives to offer a safe and creative space where her clients can move towards living a more rich and authentic life. She is here to help you navigate even the most difficult challenges, provide tools for coping and develop healthy solutions for overall wellness.
