Matt Jackson (he/him/his) is a Licensed Psychological Associate in the state of Texas (license #39612), holding a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Texas A & M Commerce, and offering extensive experience working with adolescents (14 and up), adult individuals, couples and families. Matt brings a diverse array of clinical experience providing psychotherapy to varying populations in a variety of settings; these include a private practice in Dallas and a community clinic in Commerce, TX. He also brings extensive assessment/testing experience to his clients, covering a wide range of symptoms and disorders.
Matt can help with anxiety disorders, phobias, depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma and PTSD (including religious trauma), ADHD, sleep disorders, eating disorders, marital/relationship problems, and a multitude of presenting concerns related to emotional expression, interpersonal communication, and habit formation.
Matt has a deep compassion for facilitating growth and change in his clients, and utilizes evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness based interventions. Matt is a strong advocate for each of his clients and a believer in the person-centered approach, which posits that all individuals are more than the sum of their symptoms, and that each client should be treated as an individual rather than as a diagnosis.
Matt is flexible, authentic and strengths based in his therapeutic approach, allowing him to address the unique needs of you and your family. Matt is currently working to obtain full LPA licensure under the supervision of Dr. Diana Storey (license #36821).
