Desirae Trammell is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in the State of Texas, holding a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Buena Vista University. She brings experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across academic, clinical, and community settings.
Desirae is committed to helping individuals across the lifespan navigate challenges with a steady, thoughtful, and evidence‐based approach. She utilizes person-centered and trauma‐informed frameworks, integrating cognitive behavioral strategies, emotional regulation skills, and strengths-based interventions to support clients in developing insight and achieving meaningful progress. She is also trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy, an evidence-based approach that honors how children naturally communicate. Through the healing power of play, children learn to express their emotions, process their experiences, and tap into their own strengths — all at their own pace. Desirae’s clinical style emphasizes clarity, collaboration, and practical skill-building.
Desirae’s background includes supporting clients through life transitions, providing individual and group therapy in recovery settings, and offering academic and developmental guidance to students. She prioritizes creating a structured, supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Desirae incorporates active listening, validation, and psycho- education to help clients understand patterns, build resilience, and work toward their goals.
Desirae is actively working toward full LPC licensure in the State of Texas and practices under the supervision of Megan Shelton, LPC-Supervisor, alongside fellow associate clinicians.
At the heart of Desirae’s work is a deep belief in the power of connection. She strives to create a space where clients can slow down, breathe, and feel genuinely cared for as they explore their experiences. She approaches each person with curiosity, respect, and a steady presence, walking with them as they uncover their strengths and move toward meaningful change.
