
Sidrah Khan is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate working under the supervision of Megan Shelton, LPC-Supervisor. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Texas - Austin and her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Texas State University. Sidrah is currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy degree in counseling at the University of North Texas. Sidrah has spent her clinical and professional experience experience working in a variety of settings, including nonprofit, academic, residential, and university-based counseling centers. Sidrah offers person-centered, strengths-based individual therapy using modalities including expressive arts, mindfulness, and sandtray therapy as well as play therapy for ages 3 and up.
With sensitivity to multicultural considerations and emphasis on multiple perspectives, Sidrah will provide you or your child an open and non-judgmental atmosphere, with focus on empowerment and individual growth. Sidrah is flexible in her therapeutic approach, allowing her to address the unique needs of you and your family. Sidrah holds special interest in children and adults on the autism spectrum, and those with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Sidrah’s clients appreciate her expertise in applying child-centered play therapy and parent-child relationship therapy to address behavioral concerns, issues related to parenting and the parent- child relationship, anxiety and depressive disorders, and working through relational trauma. She has a passion for building therapeutic relationships with children and adults in order to encourage healthy and strong connections.
