As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, AutPlay® Certified Therapist, and EMDR Trained Therapist, Lea brings a breadth of professional training and diverse experiences to Blank Slate Therapy clients.
Lea holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin, and completed her Masters of Science in Counseling at Southern Methodist University. She specializes in helping children, adolescents, adults, and families with difficulties related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, learning differences, ADHD, and general life adjustments and changes.
Lea believes in the power of family counseling and places special emphasis on collaboration with family members. She has experience working in school settings in a variety of capacities. Lea has served on the board of directors for the North Texas Chapter of the Texas Association for Play Therapy. Other interests that are near and dear to Lea's heart include helping marginalized populations impacted by minority stress, and difficulties related to multiculturalism. She is also an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Lea is passionate about her work, and strives to create a warm, genuine environment where every client feels safe. She looks forward to seeing you in the office soon.
